After two winters and one summer hanging outside the workspace in all weathers, covered in snow soaked by rain, battered by winds, burned by the sun and frozen in winter this canvas finally has a name and a soul. Being exposed to the elements has allowed a slow and natural deconstruction.
On the first day of Spring I was tidying up the workspace with the doors open for the first time this year. I was listening to Anna Thorvaldsdottir’s magnificent “in the light of air”. I looked at the canvas hanging in the crisp morning sun ,raw and unvarnished , and everything made sense. ” In the light of air” was born.
